How It Works

  Swift Peel (Fig. A):

• (1) double serrated blades that grip the flesh of the fruit and allow peeling in both directions

• (2) U-shape: strips cut into flesh and skin

• (3) orange peeler

And more... (Fig. B):

• (1) Crinkle cutter (stored inside the handle)

• (2) Two-wing ring to remove citrus stems (located in the crinkle cutter)

• (3) V-shape: strips cut into the zest

Care: Simply rinse the multifunction decorating set under hot water, using a brush if needed to remove stubborn residues.

Function 1: Peeling

Using a bell pepper as an example. First remove the protective cap. Run the blade along the pepper (Fig. 1). Very economical, the peeler is designed to remove ultra-thin skins. Always work in sections, top then bottom, or front then back. The peeler works from top to bottom as well as from bottom to top. Its finely serrated double blade allows fast and precise work (caution: it is very sharp!).

Function 2: The U-shape for decoration

Using a zucchini as an example: hold the peeler handle horizontally, with the U resting on the zucchini (Fig. 2). Run it along the full length of the vegetable using light, even pressure. Always work toward yourself. Bring the U back into the same groove to the starting point before creating a new groove, and repeat all around the vegetable. The U allows easy and creative decoration of many different fruits and vegetables.

Chef’s tip: Do not leave too much space between grooves to achieve a nice floral effect. Once cut, immerse radishes for 30 minutes in ice water to make them bloom like flowers.

Function 3: The V-shape for channeling fruit

Using an orange as an example. The protective cap remains on the blade. Hold the peeler handle horizontally and run the V over the orange peel from top to bottom to remove a thin strip of zest. These strips can then be braided, folded into the groove, or laid diagonally into the next one (Fig. 3). Endless decorative possibilities.

Function 4: Crinkle cutting

Using a pear as an example. The protective cap must be in place on the blade. Lower the small latch inside the handle while pressing the V with your thumb: the crinkle cutter is released from the handle. Fold it fully out in line with the handle. Cut all around the pear, piercing down to the core (Fig. 4). Repeat all around, leaving approximately 1.5 cm between cuts. Separate the two halves to reveal a nicely crinkled edge.

Function 5: Removing citrus stems

Using a lemon as an example. The protective cap remains on the blade, and the crinkle cutter is extended from the handle. Place the four-wing ring (located at the base on the inner side of the crinkle cutter) directly over the stem (Fig. 5). Twist back and forth while applying pressure to extract it. Reinsert the crinkle cutter into the handle by snapping the latch back into place.

Function 6: Orange peeler

Begin by removing the stem as explained above (Fig. 5). Reinsert the crinkle cutter by snapping the latch into place. The orange peeler is located next to the V, and the protective cap must be on the blade. Insert the peeler into the stem cavity and slide it from bottom to top to split the peel. Move the peeler about 3 cm and repeat. Use the crinkle cutter to remove the peel segments thus defined (Fig. 7).

Important: After each use and immediately after washing, it is essential to put the protective cap back on the blade, as it is very sharp. Do not clean the Swift Peel in the dishwasher, as this may damage it and void the warranty. Simply rinse under hot water, using a brush if needed.
